Junior Compliance Legal Counsel

We are searching for an experienced Junior Compliance Legal Counsel at our MSC Service Center Greece - Piraeus facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities MSC is looking for a competent Junior Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Legal Compliance Team. MSC’s Corporate Legal Compliance Team is seated in Geneva, Switzerland and in Piraeus, Greece. The successful candidate will work from the offices in Piraeus and will have daily cooperation with the rest of the team in Geneva. -Provision of support to the corporate legal compliance team in the areas of business ethics (anti-corruption, anti-bribery, conflict of interest), sanctions compliance and data protection.
Summary of Position
-Contract review and consultation provision to all Group affiliated companies from a compliance perspective
-Performance of trainings to worldwide agencies and Group entities in order to raise compliance awareness
-Ensure appropriate documentation is in place in accordance with the GDPR accountability requirements; conduction of Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest -Assessments and Transfer Impact Assessments
-Assistance in HQ projects, performance of due diligence tasks and satisfaction of ad hoc requests/reports
-Support in drafting and implementing company’s policies and procedures in order to mitigate potential compliance risks
-Legal monitoring of the applicable laws and regulations to ensure that the company meets its regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications -A degree in Law (LL.B) or in a relevant field. -1-3 years experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a multinational company working on corporate legal compliance topics (anti-corruption, anti-bribery, sanctions compliance & data protection)
-Fluency in English. Knowledge of French or Italian will be considered plus
-Basic knowledge and interest in shipping and international trade.
-Proficient use of MS software (Office, Outlook, etc.)
-Proven ability to communicate with others at all levels, including the company’s management, customers, suppliers and business partners, whether in writing or orally, individually or to a large audience
-Ability to work well within a team and persuade others
-Proven commitment to the highest standards of quality of work, preciseness and attention to detail
-Strong adaptability, leadership, entrepreneurial and commercial abilities
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Performing legal assessments, reviewing contractual clauses and negotiating with third parties
-Communicating with different stakeholders on a daily basis
-Performing trainings to worldwide agencies
