What you´ll do
- Advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSA), framework agreements, standard terms of business, procurement, sponsorship, complex contracts and project, Merger & Acquisitions and IT related agreements
- Provide advice and guidance on legal and risk issues impacting the company
- Review and support on sales and purchasing contracts, claims and research, distribution and channel management, chemical and waste agreements, and other commercial contracts for manufacturing and FMCG space
- Fair knowledge and experience in Competition and Privacy laws in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Australia New Zealand
- Commercially savvy, have fair knowledge or understanding on channel management, vertical/horizontal arrangement; Have managed all types of contracts particularly on sales contracts with rebates and discounts, special offerings with sales contract being the key
- Deep understanding and appreciation on corporate governance, code of conduct and corporate compliance; Handle disputes, data privacy, and intellectual property matters, under instruction and close supervision of the General Counsel
- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on local and regional business agreements, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations; Advise management on recent changes in laws and regulations affecting the company
What makes you a good fit
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 8 years of relevant legal experience (Master’s degree in Law is preferred though not mandatory)
- Qualified to practice law in any country within Southeast Asia or Australia/New Zealand. Candidates who are looking for migration from law firm is preferred
- Strong experience in commercial contract negotiation and management, with a deep understanding of legal and risk issues manufacturing and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice and support to business operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations; Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and growth
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice and support to business operations; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous, diligent and excellent writing skill
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
