Senior Legal Counsel – contracting IT, technology, procurement

 

 

We are looking for an experienced legal professional with a sharp commercial mindset and a passion for technology to take ownership of legal contracting across IT, procurement, and digital innovation who not only knows how to interpret laws but also how to enable business growth.

This role involves using legal design thinking, adopting legal tech solutions, streamlining processes, and ensuring your input is valued where it counts.

 

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Lead, manage, and execute contract drafting, negotiation, and amendment – both in Polish and English,
  • Negotiate and advise on complex technology contracts such as SaaS, cloud, software implementation, and digital innovation.
  • Handle procurement contracts and procedures.
  • Draft and negotiate supply and outsourcing agreements.
  • Prepare and optimize contract templates, playbooks, and tools for legal, IT sourcing, and business teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies (Competition Law, Export Control, Executive Approvals).
  • Review and align customer contracts with internal policies and market standards.
  • Support project execution and manage post-contract disputes and litigation.
  • Collaborate with external law firms and internal stakeholders to manage legal risks.
  • Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments in digital, data, and technology law.
  • Apply legal design thinking and legal tech tools to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Collaborate on risk assessment and deliver balanced legal solutions.
  • Implement legal input in cross-functional projects and share best practices.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in private practice or in-house legal roles.
  • Master of Polish Law, whereas UK law knowledge is a plus.
  • Further qualifications such as LL.M or MBA are welcome.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of EU and UK contracting frameworks, including regulatory trends.
  • Expertise in commercial contracts, procurement, outsourcing, and supply agreements.
  • Proficiency in digital, data, and technology law. 
  • Business fluency in English and Polish (spoken and written) is required, as daily communication, negotiations, and contract handling will also be conducted in English.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to assess risks and deliver pragmatic solutions for complex tasks and processes.
  • Experience working in culturally diverse teams and cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to engage in business partnering at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to be on-site at the Poznań Head Office with an average of 2–3 days per week (relocation not required).
