Job Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Legal Counsel Rail to provide legal support to our client in the rail vehicle sector across Europe. The position involves proactive legal guidance for projects and business operations in Germany, Italy, France, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for the Rail Vehicles Europe business unit (particularly Germany, Italy, France, and the UK)
• Identify and resolve legal issues in an economic and operational context, working independently and in close coordination with specialist departments
• Advise executive management, functional departments, and interdisciplinary project teams (particularly Sales, Procurement, and R&D)
• Participate in the drafting, negotiation, and conclusion of project contracts in both OEM and aftermarket business
• Provide legal counsel on R&D agreements, innovations, and emerging business models (e.g., data-driven business)
• Support the implementation of group-wide compliance policies, legal standards, and employee training initiatives

Personal Requirements:

• Strong understanding of economic and commercial contexts
• Confident demeanor, independence, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Solid understanding of business processes
• German: at least business fluent
• English: at least business fluent
• Additional foreign language skills are an advantage
• Fully qualified lawyer with relevant professional experience
• Professional experience in a commercial law firm or an internationally active industrial company
