We are now looking for a Legal Counsel (f/m/d) for our Health and Medical Solutions Business Unit. The position is a maternity cover and limited until 28.02.2027 and is located in our office in Hamburg-Ottensen.

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts in German and English for different aspects of the MedTech business, such as e.g. cooperation with material and product suppliers and with clinical, technical and regulatory service providers
Providing legal guidance to the business in innovation projects, launch support and product and brand management
Conducting legal analysis and legal risk analysis in multiple jurisdictions and facilitating appropriate coverage with a focus on marketing and advertising law and unfair competition law, both for own products and brands and for contentious matters with competition
Converting legal analysis into legal opinions and ensuring deployment of conclusions within the necessary business processes
Ensuring transparency and standard setting in the business by contributing to building and maintaining compliant internal processes and IT based routines
Further developing the close cooperation with internal functions such as the IP, Sourcing, Quality, Clinical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs departments, as well as Product Management and Marketing

Successfully (above average; in case of Germany “vollbefriedigend”) completed legal studies in a major European jurisdiction
Business fluent (written and spoken) in German and English, with mother tongue skills in German or English being a plus. Any other major European language is also a plus
Specialization in (unfair) competition law and/or medical devices / medicinal products law
1-4 years of experience as an external counsel in an international business law firm or in an in-house legal department in the MedTech / Pharma sector
Solution-oriented and cooperative mindset
Eagerness to learn and grow
Ability to navigate through a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders
