Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Legal to join our core team and work closely with the founders, regulatory bodies, and operational teams to ensure we meet and exceed regulatory and governance expectations.

Job Description

As Sav’s Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for all legal, compliance, and data privacy matters. This is a complex role requiring sound experience in DIFC and UAE regulations, contract law, technology and software licenses, and negotiation of large and complex deals.

• Negotiate, draft, and review various contracts including customers, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers, inter-company, consulting, and software licensing, and supply agreement for hardware systems.
  

• Provide legal analysis and comprehensive risk assessment to manage and mitigate risks.
  

• Experience in private and public tenders, RFQ, and RFP.
  

• Draft, organize, and review integral corporate documents and materials required for audits, labor relations, and other corporate activities.
  

• Ensuring that the company complies with the applicable laws and regulations, including those related to data privacy.
  

• Create and update contract templates and enhance contracting procedures.
  

• Negotiate with customers to protect company interests.
  

• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill contracting needs and ensure compliance.
  

• Implement and enhance contracting procedures.
  

• Provide advice and support to other departments in meeting obligations associated with contracts and agreements.
  

• Take lead on license applications with local and international regulators to expand across geographies and product lines.
  

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of a law degree from a reputable university.
  

• Fluent in English (both oral and written). Arabic is a plus.
  

• 1-3 years of work experience post qualification.
  

• Strong experience of contract analysis, review and drafting.
  

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal matters to non-legal stakeholders clearly.
  

• Comfortable in handling working with shifting priorities and working in a, ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
